Cancer in Common was created as a Society in December 2022 and officially gained Charity status in November 2023. Tax receipts are available upon request for donations above $100.00. If you are inclined to donate please reach out, we would like to get to know you!
Our charitable purposes are to relieve poverty for cancer patients, promote health by providing access to counselling and support programs, and provide related health care services to manage threats to health and survival. A cancer diagnosis can create a huge strain mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. Cancer in Common was created to minimize those strains as much as possible.

Our priority is to take away the financial burden of surprise expenses during your diagnosis. These expenses include but are not limited to private testing, naturopath visits, therapy, supplements, egg retrieval/freezing, sperm banking, medical equipment to make you more comfortable, wigs, microblading (eyebrows, breasts, etc). A cancer diagnosis can have a strong impact on your day to day financials. We can help with living expenses such as rent, utilities, personal hygiene, food and other expenses that qualify for relief of poverty.
Our goal for our community and beyond is to encourage networking events and support groups, whether it be virtual or in person. This gives cancer warriors a safe space to lean on others and create foundational relationships through mutual understanding and experiences.
We’re honored to be able to stand beside you and/or your loved ones during this time. Thank you for trusting us, we look forward to meeting you soon!
